same ol', same ol'...

Life is as usual as my new semester starts. Back to Swinburne & things look awfully the same as last year. Guess I'll be facing this dejavu for the next 3 years. But this year I promised to be different than last year. It is time to go full swing in my studies, no more fooling around. haha... Class went on as usual, as I have to repeat my Engineering Maths (I fail em last semester). Mdm Seibu (my lecturer), was still as eager & excited as before. Met up with my ol' Swinburne friends & picked my course mate, Evan from airport yesterday. Yup, class started on Monday, but he self-declared another 2 days of holiday. haha. Drove him from airport to his 'so called' outside campus. haha. Hanged around & as usual, play PES6 (Pro Evolution Soccer 6). Evan, Andrew (Swinburne mate too) & I ended up in Good Day, the food court at the Padungan roundabout for dinner... Darn, a tiring day... Looking forward to another day... Peace!

Having dinner at Good Day with Evan (green) on the left side & Andrew on the right. Wipe that smirk on your face, Evan... haha...

What a way to kick-start my day...

Arsenal lost their Carling Cup final. Even though, I'm very proud of Arsenal's youngster. Even the commentator said Arsenal have the best youngster in Europe. You can aspect a bright future for Arsenal, no longer relying 100% on Thierry Henry. Sigh... That's the glitch that started my day... The other thing, my school semester starts today. I'm gonna transform myself back into a nerd again... haha... Anyway, I don't think I'll be posting as frequent as I was before, so hope you guy's can bear with it. Oh well, Peace, guys!

Into the finale...

In 4 hours time, Chelsea will know who's youngsters is the best in the world. In 4 hours time, will be the decisive moment in each Arsenal's youngsters' life. In 4 hours time, it is going to be the first ever London-derby League Cup Final showdown, Arsenal vs Chelsea. Yes, I'm definitely going to watch that match like any other finals. Although it is the smallest cup in England, but it is also another silverware. Since Arsene Wenger took charge of Arsenal, he had never won a League Cup. This is certainly the moment!

Chelsea will boast their expensive line-up with Drogba, Shevchenko on the forward line. While their midfielders will porbably be Lampard, Makelele, fit again Robben & maybe out of favor, Wright-Phillips. While their defense have been given a major boost with the returning of Terry. He will partner Cavalho in the heart of defence with Bridge replacing injured, traitor Cole & at right back, Ferreira. Cech will be the last line of defence in the goalkeeper position.

While Arsenal will trust in their young guns. With on form Batista & Adebayor as striker,
I'm sure they will run riot, trashing Chelsea. In midfielder, skipper Gilberto will be in the middle of the park, with either Denilson or Fabregas as his backup, running back & forth. 17 years old Walcott will be testing the right side of midfield with his pacing run while the top-man Rosicky will be providing superb cross & jinking run from the left midfield. Toure & Senderos will be the hard man in the defence, while Ashley Cole look-a-like, Clichy will be at left back together with Hoyte on the right. Spaniard Almunia will be replacing Lehmann on the goalie line, since Lehmann had been suspended.

If you look at Arsenal's line up, only 2 players is above the age of 25, Almunia & Rosicky (who is only 26). So as a true Arsenal fan, I have every confident in this youngsters! So, COMMON ARSENAL!

Project Robo TMM...

As I said in the previous post, I'm gonna get the Tamama Robo in Hock Lee... & I did... took me only 1 hour to fix this... So ladies & gentlemen, TADAAA!!! If Giroro is my fav character, then Tamama is my girlfriend's. Btw, this kit, is bought by my girlfriend too. Thank you!

Cute, huh? Especially with the BIG, shiny, watery eyes... haha... So now I have two of em... 3 more to go... Wait a minute, 2 more to go, i think. Because if I'm not mistaken, Dororo does not have a mecha robo. U know, Dororo prefer to use the 'ninja' way... haha.. by using samurai, of course.

Internal affairs... Somehow... haha... G66 Robo Giroro vs TMM Robo Tamama...

Anyway, thanks for droppin by. If you guys by any chance saw any Keroro or Kururu model kit, inform me yah? Thanks... peace!

Project Robo G66...

I went Hock Lee plaza with my girlfriend, Chee Fong, yesterday night. She bought me a figurine model kit at a hobby shop on the ground floor. It's a model of Robo Giroro from the 'Keroro Gunsou' anime & manga series. If you guys have completely no idea what 'Keroro Gunsou' is, here's some info for you...

Keroro Gunsou also as known as Sgt. Frog in the US, talks about a platoon of frogs (there are 5 of them) invade Earth in attempt to rule the Universe. But their domination on Earth was brought to a halt due to the Hinata Family.

Keroro Gunsou (green)'s dream to take over Earth was disrupted when his platoon abandoned him alone on Earth. Under the Hinata Family, Keroro had to do meaningless chores & errands. Keroro is easily distracted, & rather spend his time fixing Gundam or surf the Internet than taking over Earth. Aside from Keroro's laziness, Sgt. Keroro's mission is also distracted by the constant abusing & bullying of Hinata's Family's daughter, Natsumi.

Keroro's personality is 360 degrees different to Corporal Giroro (red), who is aggressive but perhaps the only sane individual in the platoon. He is the group's gunman with deadly accuracy, ears from hell, and exceptionally good at cooking potatoes. He is often frustrated with Keroro's laziness, and is disgruntled to have him as a leader. Private Second Class Tamama (black), who loves the Sergeant and is extremely cute, but is extremely sensitive to the point where he reverts to a violent berserker at the single buzz of a fly. He is also grudgingly jealous of anyone who gets near the Sergeant. Next is the platoon's inventor, Sergeant Major Kururu (yellow), is gloomy, insidious, unpopular, and disliked by everyone, who see him as a depressing jerk. He makes most of the platoon's inventions using the money Keroro earns through his daily chores. Finally, the last member Dororo (blue), who is a ninja, and has known Keroro and Giroro since their childhood. Despite Dororo is from a rich family, he is often used as a meat shield by Keroro, but Dororo still follows Keroro's insane orders without question. Due to certain childhood abuse, Dororo falls into a deep but temporary state of depression whenever he is reminded of something bad Keroro did to him in his childhood.

This anime is worth watching as it is so damn hilarious. The humor in this anime is non-stop. Anyway, the main reason for this post is that my girlfriend bought me a model kit, which is form the character Giroro (my fav character), which is piloting the G66 robo.

Took me 1 & a half hours to fix, colour(gundam marker) & assemble the kit. Pretty simple though... The end result was the most satisfying. If compare to a HG (high grade) kit, this kit is nothing. Pretty simple to assemble as I have fix a MG (Master Grade) Gundam kit before.
The inside is almost the same with a Starter Grade Gundam Kit, the one that cost around Rm30 Gundam (in a small box, scale 1/144). But this kit have more articulation point compare to the SG Gundam Kit.

After painting & marking, my figurine was finally ready. Ladies & Gentlemen, with great 'pleasure', i present to you, Project G66, Robo Giroro!

The kit is in good shape & quality. There's another one left in Hock Lee Plaza, which is Tamama's Robo. I think I'm getting that soon... Anyway, thank you darling, for buying me this kit! haha... peace!

Stayin Up Late... For Mahjong...

It's exactly 3:25am now, & I just came back from my uncle's (sort of...) house... yup! I was playing Mahjong... It's really addicting... Although I played well, Lady Luck wasn't behind me... haha... Well, it all started when Joshua, my childhood friend & neighbor, phone me to play mahjong. I did play 3 days ago, but end up losing Rm3.20... haha... so i promised myself I have to win some extra cash! i know, the amount we're playin isn't big, but play for the sake of fun... Ok, i went to Josh's place around 11pm, & he was cookin ketchup noodle. Certainly look appetizing but unfortunately I've just took my dinner/supper. Btw, that's Josh's mom, scoopin the spaghetti.

His house his full of liqueur, not just any liqueur, but quality liqueur. Just look at the collection, XO, etc. Any kaki minum sure drool when the see this. haha. Shockin!

So then, approximately 15 minutes later, we head to Josh's uncle's place. Both of them, Joshua & his uncle did not want to have their picture taken due to publicity reasons. But both were half naked (top part, mid you) when they settle down on the table. 3 of us (kurang 1 kaki), started messing the mahjong tiles & set up in sets of 3.

As you can see in the pic above, half naked dudes. haha. The first few rounds were won by Joshua. I think he won 4 consecutive rounds, & won quite some amount early on. His uncle & I were starting to get frustrated. But then, after a wink from 'Chai Shen Tau' (Wealth God), I won two games straight. Both games cost both of them dearly, because the first one consist of all 'dots' tiles plus 4 'nan' (east) tiles, which is equal to 'kang'. The second game though consist of all 'bams' together with two green 'fa'(prosperity, really prosperity to me hor...).

After that, Joshua blocked my chance to get a hat-trick, as he won the next round & next & next & next & next... shit! this is getting repetitive... not long after, his uncle won his first game, & only game. You should have seen the expression on his face when he won, haha. After that the game was balance for the next few games between me & Joshua. He won some, & I did too, as i broke my winning drought. That's me with the Valencia/Toyota Jersey.

But, things get turned out differently towards the end. Suddenly, Joshua 'sapu' all the game. I was winning at first, but due to Joshua's domination in the end, I end up losing all my earned chips & even lose some chips of my own. Oh well, at least I lost Rm1.60 today. Sadly for Josh's uncle he lost all his chips & end up losing Rm4. Joshua though, earned Rm6. haha... It was fun though, all the tension & excitement. If I'm not wrong there will be another game tomorrow night. haha... this time I promise I'll get my revenge! haha... peace!

Laksa Craze v1

Not much ppl know I'm crazy when it comes to Laksa. Yup! I'm not ashame to admit it, I LOVE Laksa... haha. But not all laksa I've taken taste great (some really suck...!). Due to the experience & knowledge I have in laksa after years of craze & surveying, I've decided to come up with millions of posts about 'worth eating' Laksa. First & foremost, the stall i went this morning, the one at the 3rd Mile roundabout, in the building 'Golden Arch Horse' or something... It can be easily spotted because it's usually crowded. & i mean real crowded... The cars are packed! Usually it is very hard to get your car parked.
Recognize the place? Should be easy to spot em. Sometimes it can even take you hours to wait for a space to park. Advice: Go early lo... around 7am or go on weekdays. I'm not sure though what time it closes, but I can tell you it's like a typical hawker stall. If the laksa finish then siu kang (finish work) lo... Usually inside is also packed, you can see all kinds of people. There are other food too, kolo mee, fried noodles, etc etc. But the main attraction here is of course hehe.. laksa...

Wah??!! Syiok lah! This is the Rm4 Laksa... for small eaters, there is the smaller wan, Rm3 & for prawn & laksa lovers, there is also the largest of them all... The 'Untouchable' Rm5 Laksa bowl... XXL bowl Laksa & XXL prawn. One thing the Laksa here attracted me is because of the spiciness of the Laksa... Fuyoo! Best... You guys should try one day. I can assure you will never regret. Anyway, prepare to sweat like hell... & prepare to have numb tongue! Just remember to order ABKep (Air Buah Kundur extra peng!)

They Serve the Best Pizza Under One Roof

My girlfriend & I went to Jalan Song's Pizza Hut yesterday. We planned to have dinner at the hawker stall but it suddenly rained so damn heavily. So we decided to stay & have dinner in somewhere cool & dry. Survey, survey... Finally end up in Pizza Hut. They are celebrating their 25th Birthday Anniversary & they have a promo. A lot more affordable compare to normal days without promotion. So without hesitation, i ordered what attracted my eyes. Took them less than 5 minutes to serve us cheese sticks & mushroom soup.

Next, came the delicious tortilla chips. Wonderful. It 'was' (due to the chips now rest in my stomach) something like nachos but instead of cheese as its sauce, it uses the combination of mashed tomatoes with cheese. It was superb...

Finally, came the main course after both of us gobbled up all the side dishes. Haha... My girlfriend chose Hawaiian Supreme, & I tell you, it is indeed, Excèlèntè! With stuffed crust pizza, my teeth were sunk into heavenly cheesezzzz....

erv: How's the pizza?
cf: ... (bo ua kong, "nothing to say")
erv: Veli nice, izit?
cf: ... (nods her head)

You guys should seriously try. I know, you guys must be saying, Pizza Hut opens 24/7 wad?! I know, but now's promo period mah... the last time i ate was last year & it cost around RM45... But yesterday i only paid Rm33... the tax was awfully expensive tho. I paid rm3 fro their service tax. I dun think there's anything special with their service. My girl said even KFC's service is a lot more better, & yet they dun charge... haha... nvr mind, darlin, long long one time only eat pizza hut mah... hehe

Champions League round up

I tried to wake up this morning to watch the match between Barcelona & Liverpool... Unfortunately, can't seem to peel my eyes open. haha... oh well, i kinda regretted that i missed the match... turn out, Liverpool's the winner. Who would have thought? Last year's two finalist, Arsenal & Barcelona have a mountain to climb in their second leg tie... Oh well, i do hope Barcelona lose this year because this year i dun think they are capable to archive the form they are in last season. Anyways, my second choice team Valencia, drew 2-2 with Inter Milan.

PSV Eidhoven 1 - 0 Arsenal

Darn... Arsenal lost their first leg of last 16 in Champs League. They were dominating, but couldn't find the finishing touch. Add injury to insult, PSV's goalkeeper, Gomes, was darn on form. Thierry Henry have 3 clear chances to score, but couldn't beat Gomes. Rosicky have a very good chance when he played a 1-2 with Henry, but just slightly score a goal when it hit the bottom of Gomes' arm. Despite all the domination, Arsenal couldn't hang on & conceded a 61st minute goal with Edison Mendez low long range shot. Arsenal did reply, with a Fabregas snapshot, but superbly saved by Gomes. Sigh... I knew it wasn't Arsenal's day... All I can hope for is they trash PSV on the second leg in Emirates Stadium. C'MON Arsenal!
