Penang Food...!

Yup, finally I'm gonna post my Penang trip. A great experience, with lots of yummy food. lol... First & foremost, before I start my so-called 'diary', a wanna thanks Evan for bringin me & Sam around. Spent all his 11 days accompany us, abandoned his time with his family, friends & *cough* *cough*... Thanks again to his family, his mom, dad, & his sis, who surprisingly assemble my tomboy sister. lol... Thanks auntie & uncle... Ok, lets get to the fun part.

First & foremost, let me introduce to u Wanton mee. Taste almost the same with the one we get in Kuching. But the different is.... this plate of noodles only cost Rm2!!!! In Kch, this plate cost around Rm 3.50, with wanton...

Next, is one of my favs in Penang. Their cha kuey tiaw... Subarashi! The difference is they add sambal & fry em' together with the kuey tiaw. Cost around Rm 2 also. Depends on places, some cost Rm3...

U can get variation of Indian food here... There's one shop, which Evan said he & his family go to quite frequently, serves very nice Indian food (forgot the name d). From rice to all type of Roti...
Some of the names I can't remember, but I'm sure I remembered this one, Tandoori Chicken. It's very nice, they way the barbequed the chicken with all the spices blended in the chicken.

This is Chappati, i think... lol. The roti is almost tasteless, but it taste nice when u mix the gulai & different 'sauce' with it. I enjoyed it, but Sam said it suck. haha...

Aah, this one... I can't remember the name also. lol... but this was nice. I liked it. Small slices of potatoes & some kind of vege is filled between the roti. Taste nice, & Samuel enjoyed it.

In the end, after we finished our so-called 'supper', which is not suppose to be heavy, Evan's mom paid the bill. The price was a staggering Rm20++. Price is reasonable, takin account they are 4 of us, & it really filled my stomach to the fullest. lol...

Ah... A dish that I will not recommend to anyone. I didnt liked it, taste like noodles in fish soup. lol... We took this on a road side stall...

There's one stall, which is not far from Evan's huz, serves this bowl of kuey tiaw... They call this kuey tiaw teng (kuey tiaw soup). Taste nice, but the price is the one dat surprise me, cost less than rm3, with meat balls, fish balls & egg in the bowl. Why can't we get anything this cheap & filling in Kuching??

This was made by Evan's friend, who opened a stall in a hawker centre. I didn't get to know the name, but it taste something like our Cantonese noodles, only this one taste a little um... tasteless. haha...

The other dish, also cooked by Evan's friend, was the one I enjoyed. Not only it is superb, but it taste very very spicy. Whoooo... I sweat when I ate this. Sam didn't liked it, he does not like spicy food, but Evan did force him to eat. haha...

The reaction on Samuel's face when he tasted the spicy noodles...

haha... It was nice, but too bad Samuel didn't like spicy stuff....

Evan's father brought all of us, including Evan's mom & sis, to a place, where Evan claimed the place where young ppl hangs out. It serves variety of food from chicken steak to lasagna. Wad interest me was the drink. I find quite humorous with the name they gave for their drink. (click to zoom to have a better view)... wad crossed in my mind was, Britney Spears. So can I buy Britney for Rm5.90? haha... Cheap-skate! I wonder if MLS Galaxy bought David Beckham for more than a few hundred million US dollar worth it? Where I can buy Beckham for only Rm5.90. hahahaa...
But in the end, I ordered all action Jean Claude Van-Damme!
Here's one Van-Damme for me. Huh? I thought it was suppose to be some buffed up guy, with some kung-fu moves. Instead they gave me this. Oh well, no complaints....

Aah, finally, here comes my Maryland Chicken. I wonder if it can really bring me to Maryland. Wonderland? no... sigh... but it taste yummy, tho. Too bad bout the Maryland thing. Darn... oh yeah, how much do u think this cost....? Rm10? Rm15? Nah... Only cost Rm5.90. Yup! haha... freakinly cheap!

This was taken on top of Penang Hill. There's a few hawker stall for tourist to sit down to hav a drink or two. Evan ordered this for us, their ABC. Whoa! So colourful wan!!! haha. This is actually the first time I tasted an ABC so good. haha. but cost around Rm3.50! walau eh!

Another horrible food. Just because I loved fried oyster, doesn't mean I like oyster cooked in other way. haha... as u guess it, this is oyster porridge. YUCK!

haha... this one of my favourite food! Fried oyster. Although I loved the one in Kuching too, but the reason why I prefer this better, is that it is served in normal hwaker stall... In Kuching, u can only get it in seafood stalls.... haha...

That's almost all the picture I took. Not much, i know. haha... Well, wait for my post on the places i go next. Will post it ASAP!
