Champions Youth Cup in Kuching
Yesterday was my first time watching live European quality soccer. It was amazing. Although the game were played by youth players, Under 19, but the quality of the game we watched in through Astro was almost the same. Everything from the pace, physical, action were identical with the Champions League. These kids played superbly. This was my first taste of live European football. Yesterday's match were played a Kuching Stadium & to tell u the truth, the pitch was quite horrible. Holes & patches were covered with sand. But it was acceptable because no player was hurt due the the pitch. The first match was played at 6.45pm between the Netherlands's League Champion, PSV Eindhoven & the 13-time German Champion, Bayern Munich.
The picture is not really clear, so I apologize but u can click the picture to enlarge it. This is the view of our Kuching Stadium. The match was dominated by PSV, but they couldn't find the back of the goal. Chances after chances, but they couldn't beat the Bayern goalkeeper, Ferdinand Oswalt. Then, before the stroke of half-time, Bayern was rewarded a penalty after PSV's goalkeeper, Zoet fouled a Bayern player in the penalty box. Viktor Bopp stepped up & scored from the penalty. 1-0 to Bayern.
Half-time. Players walking into the dressing room. The second half went on similar to the first half with PSV doing all the attacking while Bayern defending. Unfortunately, no goals were scored but it was one hell of a game. In the end, a standing ovation form the crowd to the players for putting a great show.
These are the Chelsea Youth team players, surveying the pitch before the match against Malaysia.
Malaysia U-19 vs Chelsea U-19. Shaking hands before the kick0ff. Before the match starts, I expect it was going to be a very one-sided game, with Chelsea dominating. The games started in a very fast pace game. Chelsea players seems to have the advantage, out-running the Malaysian team. Pace, stamina-wise was better than Malaysians player.
The match wasn't bad, but the previous match was better. Oh yeah, the part where i hate the most about this match. First, Malaysian player were very rough. Their style of play wasn't quick but quite tactical. They keep wasting time, & we assumed they are looking for a draw. Secondly, the referee, who's a Malaysian, seemed to favor the national team a little. Lastly, & the worst of all, the crowd. I was embarrassed by these uncivilized people. They keep shouting 'ass-hole' when Chelsea have the possession of the ball. This is totally unacceptable. The crowd really spoil the game & my mood. Screw them! They were so happy when Malaysian Team escaped with a point in the end of the match. Pathetic! The Malaysian team employ rough tactics & the jeer from the crowd really spoil our country's reputation.
Overall, I enjoyed the match. I paid rm12 for 2 matches. Sigh... I just hope the next time, which i doubt after what happened, the Malaysian crowd will behave themselves. It's really sickening. I hope the other teams won't take it seriously when the are called 'ass-hole'. What i fear is that they will not make another trip in the future after what happened. Sigh... Anyway, hear me out, you imbecile, immoral crowd (I do not wish to state which races I was referring to, & mind u, they are not Chinese), they next time try to behave & watch your mouth. I know it's patriotic to support your own team, but hell, it's not necessary to swear other teams. Damn!

WARNING: This is episode 2. Make sure u read ep 1 first. Jz scroll down the page & u'll see it. Proceed with safety! lol...
Ahh... where was I? oh. bout winning the tickets to exchange prize, rite? Anyway, I traded the tickets for some cheap small mug. haha... We've spent around Rm40 to play & end up with some cheapskate mug. No wonder they earn like water flowing out from a pipe. lol... Anyway, the main reason me & Sam wanted to go to the outdoor theme park. haha... I remembered it was damn fun the last time I went, around 4 - 5 years ago. Surprisingly, Samuel woke up at 8am! Shockin! While Evan, sigh... He didn't have the guts to play. haha. So he stayed in the hotel. haha... We prepared ourselves & went down for a light milo. Theme park opened at 10am. haha... There was this new thrill ride, it was named 'Flying ... something' haha...
But the ride I was anticipating for was the 'Space Shot'. The ride where u drop around 40m in 3 seconds. haha... I loved the feeling when u gushed down from the air. U feel as if u're gonna vomit ur heart out. lol... Sam had never rode on this before. So I made him to sit on the ride & he didn't have any idea what is gonna hit him. haha...
Halfway on the top.
erv: haha... this is fun...
sam: hey, erv... I'm scared. I regret liaw. I dun wan to play...
erv: haha... We're halfway, how are we gonna stop?...
Well, Samuel manage to survive & came down in 1 piece... haha...
We stayed outside for a few hours. Come to think of it, the theme park have gotten really boring. I dun really enjoyed it this time. Furthermore, I paid Rm33 & it wasn't worth it anymore. sigh... Anyway, Evan's dad left Genting to KL, for some business matter. We walked around Genting one last time before boarding a bus down to Penang. P/s: there are some incident happened in the bus which I would not like to elaborate, but this picture might give u a rough idea.... lol
The next few days, Evan brought us around Penang, & somewhere in the twon area, there was this shop by the name of 'Toy Shoppe' attracted my attention. hhaah... this is any otaku's heaven, especially me! The Gundams are surprisingly quite cheap! Normally a HG Gundam would cost at least Rm70 in any hobby shop, but the shop here, they sold for an affordable price. Seriously! & darn! I didn't bring enough cash with me! CRAP! But I manage to get myself a ZAKU I. Only Rm32! FREAKINLY CHEAP!!!! While Samuel bought a Blu Duel for around Rm50++! Sam, who was influenced by me, bought his first Gundam Kit & damn he was happy. lol. He said it was better than having his certificate. lol...
Anyway, he did pulled back his words when he laughed at my Gundam collection. hahah... I'm the last one laughing. HAHA...
On the same day, we went to a quite newly opened shopping complex, called Queensbay Mall & it was a rich men mall. The things there are all high class. haha... Evan told me if u wear shorts there, u'll be looking like a noob. haha... Anyway, the mall is a little too high class for me too... haha... Anyway, I met SHE there... NOT! haha... I was jz a poster for a famous shop called Samuel & Kevin. & mind u, it's not Samuel Loh I'm talking about. haha...
Ah, another thing dat took my attention when I was in this shoe shop. I'm sure Malays would dare to touch the shoes they sold. Why? haha... This is why...
NO PORK, I TELL U AR! lol...
We went to one of Penang's tourist attraction one night, Batu Fringgi. It was truly a heaven place for tourist & of course me! haha. This was the first thing a bought there. A katana. nyahaha... The tauke first offered me Rm50. 10 minutes later added with patient & persistent, I took Rm25 out of my wallet to trade with this katana. haha... Damn, i was satisfied!
This is where I bought some souvenirs for my mom, sis & my girlfriend. haha... not expensive lar the bracelet & necklace. But I'm not gonna disclose the price here. haha...
I've actually wanted to get wan bracelet for myself for quite some time now. But come to think of it, it's kinda expensive. Around Rm50 to Rm200. haha... maybe next time..
OOOHOOYYY!!! Here comes Cpt. Jack Sparrow, Cpt. Barbosa & Will Turner boarding the Black Pearl. The Black Pearl serves the best steak in town. Ahhh... Run! Here comes Davy Jones!
A true GUNNER fan! A Gunner will be forever a Gunner! GO ARSENAL!!!
3 of us bought something similar, to show our friendship & bond! We're Kal-Els!!!! Lol...
Wad the point of goin Penang if you didn't go Penang Hill. lame lar... haha... Evan brought 2 kids from his Church together with us. On the left is the elder sister, Louis & on the left is a monkey, haha, Hanson.
We took the tram up to the top of the hill...
Nothin really to show you guys. We're here for the sake we're in Penang. haha... But I took one particular nice photo. haha... 2 new Gunners!
There was this stall bottom of a tree somewhere in Penang, call 'Chiew Chang Ka', means under a tree. The food there, no offence, sucks! The oyster porridge! YUCK! haha... The only thing taht brighten our day is seeing Evan with his happiness! haha... rite, sam? Ladies & Gentlemen, I give you the happiest couple ever, Lich King & Crystal Maiden! haha... anyway, thanks Lilian for spending ur precious lunch time with us. Nice to know u tho!
U guys heard of RedBox?! It's a place where ppl karaoke to the fullest. Rm9 per person (student) for 3 solid hours. haha... Oh, I've never shown u Evan's sister's pic before ho? here's Janis, happily karaoking! She really looks like my sis lar...
Lalalalala... haha...
Anyway, dat's really pretty much about the 11 days in Penang. It was fun really. I really hav to thanks the Khoo Family, for all the time & hospitality. Thank you again. I was a trip to remember for the rest of my life. Thanks!

Penang Trip...! ep. 1
How time flies... darn. 11 days jz swoosh like that. I remember I was damn eager to go to Penang beginning of this year, before last semester starts. Next thing you know, I'm back in Kuching. haha... Anyway, I had a great time, thanks to my driver, Evan. LOL! I dun hav to worry bout transportation nor accommodation. haha... Here's some of the photos I wanna share with you guys.
This lizard was taken at 'Hiding Place', Evan's dad centre. His dad opened a centre for drug-addicts in Penang, to curb their addictiveness on drugs & teach them to live in a normal life without drugs. I really salute his dad, as he is able to bear all the hard work to make a person civilize again. Oh, back to the lizard, I think, if I didn't remembered wrong, is bought by him & his siblings for his dad. One HUGE lizard!
This was taken outside Gurney Plaza. Evan parked there to avoid 'saman' & the shopping parking fees. haha... Ignore the Noob posing in front of th car. LOL! Anyway, this is Evan's elder brother, Shaun's car.
This was taken inside Gurney Plaza, jz outside Golden Screen Cinema. That girl is Evan's friend, Hannah. Rite? haha...
Tokens! Tokens for Gashapon, a Japanese vending machine for toys in eggs. u know wad I mean, rite? haha... The one like we used to play when we were small. U put 20c in the vending machine, & pop out an egg. Remember? haha... this is the Japanese Version (Bandai Toys). The product you get is far more better than the one u get in the 20c ones. haha... Anyway, a machine needs 2 tokens, sometimes 3, in order to purchase the egg. Oh, I forgot the important part. One token cost Rm4! haha...
This is Evan's Church. I think it's called Light Baptist Church. haha... Here Evan goes again, posing with another girl. I can't remember her name though. But Evan keep calling her 'la kia'. Cost she looks like 'la kia'. lol. Actually she's a chinese, dun worry.
Evan's dad brought us down to Genting Highland a few days later. Around 4 to 5 hours drive from Penang. Reached there around 5pm. The rooms are only available at 7pm, so we decided to walk around to kill the time, while Evan's dad wad waiting at the lobby. We looked around the indoor recreation park. haha... Walked around, as we try not to miss anything. I did went into the casino, for the first time! Btw, I'm 21! haha... Sam & Evan was waiting outside. It was awesome. Too bad they dun allow me to snap photos in there. Didn't gamble though. One chip cost Rm10. haha... Anyway, they hav free flows of milo! haha... Too bad I can't take any photo, but here's one photo I took that is far better. An Oscar's ass! lol...
2 noobs posing. haha...
Here's where the fun begins. We got lost. Yeah dat's right, we got lost. Thanks to Evan. haha... He's very good with directions, trust me. lol... Am I right, Sam? We got lost uncountable times when we're in Penang. There were the time at Genting, town area where we were looking for a road side stall, the parking incident at Queensbay Mall & bla bla bla.... haha... those were funny times. Anyway, we walked about 1 & 1/2 hours, asking around. One guy point there & the other, well u guess it, the other way. haha... seems like those who work in Genting dunno the way out too. haha... We finally did get out from the labyrinth of Genting, & darn we were glad when we reach our room.
Fall dead...!
Trauma!
Act macho... but actually, his legs are tired. haha...
Here's a glimpse of Evan's dad. He's the first to fall asleep when we reach our room. haha... Zzzzzz *snore* zzzzzz....
We walked around after resting for while. We went out into the open space, which is outside the hotel. The breeze was cooling. Took some sarcastic photos. haha... here's Samuel, pretending to be a pole dancer. haha... got future, ho?
Wah?! This one dance even better la. Even brighter future to be a pole dancer. LOL!
Went down to the arcade & played some games. haha... U know the phrase 'a picture symbolize a thousand words'? I'll leave this picture for you guys to figured out wad happened. haha...
The addicting game of the night would have to be the basketball shooting game. It cost Rm2 to play a game, quite expensive, but it was enjoying. haha... Furthermore, you can win tickets for prize exchanging. We did manage to get around 400 points, & exchanged for a mini cup & key-chains. But in the end of the day, i suffered back-ache & tired arms. lol...
Fuh... I've writen quite a lot here.... I'll leave the part 2 nxt time. Haha... Stay tuned everybody!

Penang Food...!
Yup, finally I'm gonna post my Penang trip. A great experience, with lots of yummy food. lol... First & foremost, before I start my so-called 'diary', a wanna thanks Evan for bringin me & Sam around. Spent all his 11 days accompany us, abandoned his time with his family, friends & *cough* *cough*... Thanks again to his family, his mom, dad, & his sis, who surprisingly assemble my tomboy sister. lol... Thanks auntie & uncle... Ok, lets get to the fun part.
First & foremost, let me introduce to u Wanton mee. Taste almost the same with the one we get in Kuching. But the different is.... this plate of noodles only cost Rm2!!!! In Kch, this plate cost around Rm 3.50, with wanton...
Next, is one of my favs in Penang. Their cha kuey tiaw... Subarashi! The difference is they add sambal & fry em' together with the kuey tiaw. Cost around Rm 2 also. Depends on places, some cost Rm3...
U can get variation of Indian food here... There's one shop, which Evan said he & his family go to quite frequently, serves very nice Indian food (forgot the name d). From rice to all type of Roti...
Some of the names I can't remember, but I'm sure I remembered this one, Tandoori Chicken. It's very nice, they way the barbequed the chicken with all the spices blended in the chicken.
This is Chappati, i think... lol. The roti is almost tasteless, but it taste nice when u mix the gulai & different 'sauce' with it. I enjoyed it, but Sam said it suck. haha...
Aah, this one... I can't remember the name also. lol... but this was nice. I liked it. Small slices of potatoes & some kind of vege is filled between the roti. Taste nice, & Samuel enjoyed it.
In the end, after we finished our so-called 'supper', which is not suppose to be heavy, Evan's mom paid the bill. The price was a staggering Rm20++. Price is reasonable, takin account they are 4 of us, & it really filled my stomach to the fullest. lol...
Ah... A dish that I will not recommend to anyone. I didnt liked it, taste like noodles in fish soup. lol... We took this on a road side stall...
There's one stall, which is not far from Evan's huz, serves this bowl of kuey tiaw... They call this kuey tiaw teng (kuey tiaw soup). Taste nice, but the price is the one dat surprise me, cost less than rm3, with meat balls, fish balls & egg in the bowl. Why can't we get anything this cheap & filling in Kuching??
This was made by Evan's friend, who opened a stall in a hawker centre. I didn't get to know the name, but it taste something like our Cantonese noodles, only this one taste a little um... tasteless. haha...
The other dish, also cooked by Evan's friend, was the one I enjoyed. Not only it is superb, but it taste very very spicy. Whoooo... I sweat when I ate this. Sam didn't liked it, he does not like spicy food, but Evan did force him to eat. haha...
The reaction on Samuel's face when he tasted the spicy noodles...
haha... It was nice, but too bad Samuel didn't like spicy stuff....
Evan's father brought all of us, including Evan's mom & sis, to a place, where Evan claimed the place where young ppl hangs out. It serves variety of food from chicken steak to lasagna. Wad interest me was the drink. I find quite humorous with the name they gave for their drink. (click to zoom to have a better view)... wad crossed in my mind was, Britney Spears. So can I buy Britney for Rm5.90? haha... Cheap-skate! I wonder if MLS Galaxy bought David Beckham for more than a few hundred million US dollar worth it? Where I can buy Beckham for only Rm5.90. hahahaa...
But in the end, I ordered all action Jean Claude Van-Damme!
Here's one Van-Damme for me. Huh? I thought it was suppose to be some buffed up guy, with some kung-fu moves. Instead they gave me this. Oh well, no complaints....
Aah, finally, here comes my Maryland Chicken. I wonder if it can really bring me to Maryland. Wonderland? no... sigh... but it taste yummy, tho. Too bad bout the Maryland thing. Darn... oh yeah, how much do u think this cost....? Rm10? Rm15? Nah... Only cost Rm5.90. Yup! haha... freakinly cheap!
This was taken on top of Penang Hill. There's a few hawker stall for tourist to sit down to hav a drink or two. Evan ordered this for us, their ABC. Whoa! So colourful wan!!! haha. This is actually the first time I tasted an ABC so good. haha. but cost around Rm3.50! walau eh!
Another horrible food. Just because I loved fried oyster, doesn't mean I like oyster cooked in other way. haha... as u guess it, this is oyster porridge. YUCK!
haha... this one of my favourite food! Fried oyster. Although I loved the one in Kuching too, but the reason why I prefer this better, is that it is served in normal hwaker stall... In Kuching, u can only get it in seafood stalls.... haha...
That's almost all the picture I took. Not much, i know. haha... Well, wait for my post on the places i go next. Will post it ASAP!
I didn't get to know the name, but it taste something like our Cantonese noodles, only this one taste a little um... tasteless. haha...
